Monday 8/31/15 (T. Coker) timeline. we drew a timeline (5inches) in notebook and listed presidents on timeline in correct order by inauguration dates. we also received half sheet with some states to study for quiz on Thursday. Homework is to study half sheet and work on time line due Thursday.
Wednesday 9/2/2015 (M. Buford, 1) "L-I-E-ing in History" No work/assignments were given or taken up. Our class activities included a discussion about L-I-E-ing in History covering the Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing of 1995. Students were called (some volunteered) to the back of the classroom and asked to analyze the picture to identify both Literal and Interpretive properties of the picture to clarify their comprehension. Don't forget Map Quiz #1 over the 11 states on the East Coast is Thursday (9/3/2015) and you Annotated Timeline is due on the same day,Thursday (9/3/2015)
Friday 9/4/15 (M.Buford,1) "The Century...Then & Now" No assignments were taken up, however we picked up a four sectioned note taking sheet for the video we watched in class. First we discussed yesterday's assignment ("L-I-E-ing in history") on Bush's 9/11 speech. Afterwards we began watching "The Century: America's Time; Ep.15 : "Then and Now" and got as far as filling two quadrants. The assignment sheet and video is posted on schoology.
